New York, New York
DEVEN was retained to act as asset manager of this property and to effect its successful operation and disposition. Designed by Isaiah Rogers as the Mercantile Exchange in the mid-1800s, this National Historic Landmark is the oldest commercial property in New York’s financial district and was the U.S. Customs house before becoming the headquarters of Citibank in 1907. DEVEN took advantage of its history and prominence, and after a brief period of management, sold it to an investor who converted the ground floor to special event space.
